Heat-Pump water heating systems

Heat pumps are getting more popular, they work in a very effective way and are very reliable.  A heat pump is relatively cheap and will provide about a third of our electricity demand.

How does it work?
A heat pump produces warm water.  About 33% of our electricity consumption comes from heating water.  The pump uses outside air and is electrically powered, it compresses the air so that it will multiply it's energy factor up till 4.5 time per PV/kilo Watt.  Heat pumps work perfectly in combination with solar panels and the new models are weatherproof so you can store them outside the house.
